Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear is seeking an Assistant Manager for our Florida location. The role supports the Store Manager with daily operations, merchandising, scheduling, and customer service to achieve store goals.

The ideal candidate has 1-3 years in retail, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment. This position reports to the Store Manager and is non-exempt, hourly.

Qualifications

• Retail experience in footwear and athletic apparel preferred.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering and scheduling.
• Assume responsibility of store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Train and evaluate store personnel.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers across departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to meet department responsibilities and standards.
• Ensure excellent customer service and promote merchandise.
• Handle general administrative duties as needed.
