Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear Georgetown is seeking an Assistant Manager for the Operations department. The role reports to the Store Manager and focuses on customer service, store merchandising, restocking and scheduling in a fast-paced environment.

You will help manage assets, supervise staff in the Store Manager's absence, and participate in recruiting, training and evaluation while ensuring adherence to company policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling assets and executing action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering and scheduling.
• Serve as acting manager in the Store Manager’s absence and supervise staff as needed.
• Assist in recruiting, training and evaluating store personnel.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers across departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to help profitability.
• Promote and sell Hibbett I City Gear services and merchandise.
