SecureSpace Self Storage is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager and regional leadership in achieving store goals. The role emphasizes teamwork, sales growth, and inventory/occupancy monitoring across locations.

The team prioritizes excellent customer service and operational excellence. This position offers opportunities for career growth as SecureSpace expands with new stores in 2026, a strong focus on online reservations, and a collaborative, field-based leadership

Qualifications

• Experience in storage, retail or hospitality settings is required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written.
• Customer service mindset with a focus on the user experience.
• Ability to collaborate with Store Manager and leadership teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Supports the team in surpassing sales targets by promoting unit rentals, warranties, and moving supplies, and encouraging positive reviews.
• Guides new customers through the rental process to ensure smooth transactions.
• Contacts potential clients to confirm moving dates and readiness of storage units.
• Manages past-due tenant accounts and processes paperwork for lien/auction if needed.
• Delivers exceptional customer service and addresses client needs effectively.
• Performs daily property inspections to maintain security, cleanliness, and upkeep.
• Performs light gardening and uses power tools for maintenance of property and grounds.
• Uses cleaning and maintenance chemicals to maintain aesthetics.
• Communicates updates and recommendations to Store Manager and Leadership Team.
• May travel to nearby locations for scheduled shifts; flexible for weekends/holidays.
• Other duties as assigned.
