Job summary

Petsense by Tractor Supply in Tahlequah, OK is seeking a capable second-in-command to support the Store Manager in all store operations, customer service, and team leadership.

You will drive sales, supervise Team Members, handle merchandising, cash controls, and safety, while training staff and ensuring a welcoming shopping environment.

This role requires 18+ years of age, a valid driver’s license, and experience in pet retail is preferred to ensure exceptional customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous retail leadership experience is required.
• Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required. Regardless of education level, Associates must be able to read, write and count accurately.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct store and salon teams to achieve sales and customer satisfaction.
• Assist Store Manager in operations, including sales growth, planning and delegating daily tasks.
• Act as store leader in Store Manager’s absence.
• Ensure safety and productive work environment; train Team Members on policies.
• Manage opening/closing, cash handling, deposits, and reconciliations.
• Merchandising, price changes, and inventory tasks; resolve customer issues and maintain loss prevention standards.
