Job summary

Tractor Supply Company’s Petsense division is seeking a capable leader to support the Store Manager as second in command. You will supervise store and salon teams, ensure a safe, friendly shopping experience, and drive daily store operations, training, and policy enforcement.

The role requires prior retail leadership, a willingness to manage diverse tasks, and a passion for pet/live animal knowledge. A high school diploma is preferred; must be 18+ with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Previous retail leadership experience is required.
• Experience with pet/live animal knowledge is strongly preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in Store Operations including driving sales, customer loyalty, planning, prioritizing, and delegating daily tasks.
• Assist Store Manager in Team Member counseling, staffing decisions, scheduling, and training.
• Store leader during Store Manager’s absence (PTO, LOA).
• Lead and coach store team members on store operations to grow sales and profitability.
• Drive sales and profit through merchandising initiatives, expense control, and protecting company assets.
