ALDI USA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Ohio to support daily store operations, supervise staff, manage schedules, and execute action plans that drive overall store performance.

The role emphasizes training and development, adherence to company policies, and maintaining high standards in inventory, customer service, and loss prevention. Starting wage is $25.50/hr with a planned increase to $26.50/hr in year two.

Responsibilities

• Assists the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results.
• Establishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports.
• Identifies training opportunities to improve performance of direct reports.
• Models company core values to create teamwork among employees.
• Monitors competitive environment and informs adjustments to maintain position.
• Provides product feedback and recommendations on items to carry or discontinue.
• Participates in interviewing store personnel.
• Communicates weekly information and major milestones to team.
• Ensures adherence to inventory procedures and cash control policies.
• Ensures timely resolution of customer concerns in leader's absence.
• Identifies and rectifies hazards and maintains store equipment.
• Maintains store cleanliness and signage.
• Maintains stock levels through proper ordering.
• Merchandises products to maximize sales and checks signage.
• Aims to meet payroll and loss budget and trains new employees.
• Supervises day-to-day operations and escalates issues as needed.
• Ensures reports and duties are completed to provide top customer service.
• Follows all company policies and protects confidential information.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
