Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support daily operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with merchandising, organize stock, and help with opening/closing, while maintaining standards and safety.

Strong communication and leadership are essential for supervising and training store associates. The role emphasizes a positive, high-energy, team environment with responsibilities spanning inventory, payroll, and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; read and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as needed.
• Strong written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain store areas to company standards and ensure safety compliance.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
