Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. Duties include assisting with day-to-day store activities, organizing merchandise from delivery to floor, supporting opening and closing procedures, supervising and training Associates, and ensuring a clean, well-stocked, safe store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect company assets including store cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restocked, and presentable; manage bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
