Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team to help with store operations, customer service and team development.

The role includes assisting with day-to-day store activities, helping customers, organizing merchandise, and supporting the Store Manager in training and supervision. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills, the ability to work in a high-energy environment, and a commitment to maintaining a clean, welcoming store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and handle physical aspects of the role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and related communications.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow policies.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including restrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
