Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. The role covers opening/closing duties, merchandising, inventory, and staff training to maintain a clean, organized store

and a positive customer experience. The position emphasizes safety, adherence to policies, and collaboration with the Store Manager and associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal displays.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and managing inventory, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Ensure a clean, well-stocked sales floor and secure stockroom per company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash and records.
• Instruct and support Store Associates; supervise and train as needed.
