Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily activities, organize merchandise, and supervise associates to maintain a high-energy, customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, payroll and cash handling, and ensuring compliance with policies. This role involves maintaining clean, well-stocked floors and assisting in training Store Associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail/grocery/drug environment preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store operations.
• Help customers with questions in a positive manner.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom and floor.
• Execute opening and closing procedures.
• Help implement corporate directives and inventory controls.
• Maintain store cleanliness and display effectiveness.
• Support in scheduling, payroll records and cash handling.
• Train and develop store associates.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
