Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Idaho to support daily operations, customer service, and team development. You will help organize merchandise, assist customers, and ensure store policies and safety guidelines are followed.

You will also help supervise and train Store Associates, maintain clean and stocked areas, and manage opening/closing duties while protecting store assets. The role emphasizes teamwork and professional, friendly customer interactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks regularly.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and decision-making skills are required.

Responsabilités

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and store-front fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Keep stockroom and sales floors well-stocked and organized.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies, safety guidelines, and ensure staff compliance.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe environment and professional customer interactions.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, bathrooms, floors, and waste handling.
• Other duties as assigned.
