Job summary

Family Dollar in Ririe, Idaho is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, organize merchandise, and help train and supervise store associates.

This position requires the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, strong communication, and a positive, team-oriented approach to delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain fixtures and displays for promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, handle damaged goods, and manage record keeping.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop store associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep store areas clean including restrooms and floors; take out trash.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
