Job summary

Dollar Tree in Morris, Minnesota is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with opening/closing, merchandising, and supervising Store Associates to maintain a friendly environment for customers.

Responsibilities include processing directives, maintaining displays, loss prevention, and ensuring safety policies are followed while upholding company standards in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read and interpret operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service, organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom.
• Protect store assets including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; train and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep the store clean, restocked bathrooms, swept and mopped floors.
