Job summary

Dollar Tree in Minnesota is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You’ll help with daily tasks, supervise associates, and ensure the store runs smoothly.

Responsibilities include opening and closing procedures, inventory control, and maintaining promotional displays while delivering friendly, efficient service in a fast-paced environment. You will also support payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in organizing merchandise and maintaining seasonal displays.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, and record keeping.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Follow safety guidelines and company policies.
• Help supervise, train, and develop store associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
