Dollar Tree in Sugar Land, TX seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with merchandising, staffing, loss prevention, and ensuring a clean, safe shopping environment while building a positive, fast-paced team culture.

The role supports management in supervising Associates, maintaining inventory accuracy, and delivering exceptional guest experiences in a busy retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform varied store tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and operations.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Coordinate merchandise flow from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications related to activities.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and overall promotional effectiveness.
