Job summary

Dollar Tree in Sugar Land, TX is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, help customers, and ensure merchandise movement from delivery to floor.

This role requires strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise between stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process directives including payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain promotional displays and fixtures.
• Assist in ordering, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom.
• Protect store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure compliance by associates.
• Help Store Manager supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a safe, friendly environment for customers and staff.
• Keep bathrooms clean and store neat and presentable.
• Other duties as assigned.
