Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Sugar Land, TX to assist the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering a positive customer experience. You will focus on merchandising and processing freight while upholding store standards and safety policies.

You will help manage daily store activities, stock levels, and plan monthly merchandising efforts. This role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, and the ability to handle physical tasks in a fast-paced retail

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives and related communications.
• Maintain store cleanliness and neat presentation, including bathrooms.
