Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help drive store operations, customer service, and team development at our Sugar Land location.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily store activities, organizing merchandise, supervising associates, and ensuring a clean, safe, and engaging shopping environment. Part-time option may apply, with emphasis on leadership and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks regularly.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision‑making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and overall promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Train and develop Store Associates and ensure a safe, respectful environment.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including restrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
