Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Lift up to 55 lbs and frequent walking/stooping actions required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service, organization, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and operations.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain storefront fixtures and displays for promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, process damaged merchandise, and record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits).
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, bathrooms stocked and areas neat; perform other duties as assigned.
