Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and participate in opening and closing procedures.

You will also help implement corporate directives, manage displays, assist in ordering merchandise, payroll and scheduling, protect assets, and train Store Associates while maintaining a safe, friendly environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and handle physical store duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communicate store activities.
• Maintain storefront fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Maintain stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures; supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Ensure cleanliness, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation.
