Job summary

Journeys in Glendale, AZ is seeking a Store Associate/Co-Manager-in-Training to support the Store Manager and build a high-performing team. You’ll recruit, hire, train, and coach staff to meet sales goals while protecting store assets.

You’ll lead a fast-paced team, deliver a great customer experience, and embody Journeys culture. The role requires 18+ and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and up to 45 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Retail experience preferred but not required
• Ability to work 45 hours per week including nights and weekends

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed store and personal sales goals
• Assist in recruiting and hiring of high-caliber employees
• Assist in training and developing a successful sales team
• Provide feedback, coaching, and accountability to all employees
• Ensure company initiatives are implemented to standard
• Recognize talent and develop for growth within the company
• Supervise daily store operations in manager in training's absence
• Supervise loss prevention practices in manager in training's absence
• Communicate store needs to Store Manager and Manager In Training
• Resolve customer issues effectively
• Provide a fun, full-service experience to all customers
• Demonstrate Journeys culture to the team
• Possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Desire to succeed in fast-paced retail environment
• Willingness to learn
• Complete training leading to Co-Manager or equivalent
• Possess ability to work 45 hours per week
• Ability to work night and weekend shifts
• Stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
