Job summary

Bath & Body Works is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to partner with the Store Manager in developing outstanding associates and delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will be a front-line leader, setting performance goals, coaching teams, and driving store growth in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will lead talent development, manage daily operations, and ensure staff provide consistent, brand-aligned service while upholding safety and store standards in Richmond, IN.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering sales, customer experience, and operational results in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in a manager role, preferably in a retail setting.
• Thrives in a customer-first based retail environment.
• Ability to foster a customer-focused selling culture.
• Effective communication skills, being open to feedback, and the ability to adapt quickly.
• Ability to provide in-the-moment coaching to associates.
• Ability to de-escalate store and customer situations effectively.
• Must be available to work peak days and times, including varied shifts of evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Attract, hire, develop, inspire, and retain top talent.
• Set and reinforce clear performance expectations, results goals, and accountability with all associates.
• Lead as Manager on Duty and address customer experience, vendor relationships and maintenance issues as needed.
• Partner with Sales Leadership to support action plans that improve results and ensure effective execution of operations.
• Implement and sustain floorset direction to optimize the business and bring product stories to life.
• Perform opening and closing routines, including bank deposits and shipment receipt.
• Set daily direction and goals for the team and provide feedback to managers.
• Meet payroll targets by ensuring adequate sales floor coverage and a selling focus.
• Lead in-store customer experiences through selling behaviors rooted in values and product knowledge.
• Create genuine connections with customers through needs discovery and personalized recommendations.
• Train, coach, and motivate associates to improve selling and customer experience.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and adherence to policies and procedures.
