• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store recommended.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
• Strong problem solving and decision making.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communicate related store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll/scheduling, cashier deposits and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Follow safety guidelines and ensure staff adherence to policies.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe environment with professional interactions.
