Family Dollar in Gibson, NC seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help with day-to-day functions, assist customers, and supervise staff to maintain service standards.

This role requires the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, work in a fast-paced environment, and follow corporate directives. You'll assist with merchandising, scheduling, payroll tasks, loss prevention, and maintaining a clean, safe store atmosphere.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Lift up to 55 lbs and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and bending.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with questions and concerns in a positive manner.
• Organize, transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and maintain store displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, handling damaged goods, payroll and scheduling.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Protect store assets including cash and security.
• Ensure staff compliance with policies and safety guidelines.
• Support Store Manager with training and development of associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful store environment.
