Job summary

Lids in Concord, CA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily retail operations, drive sales, and deliver outstanding customer service at our store. This role supports the Store Manager and helps foster a dynamic, customer-focused team environment.

You will manage staff scheduling and training, execute merchandising and store processes, and uphold policy compliance while maintaining a positive, engaging store culture. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Act as Manager on duty for scheduling issues and customer complaints when Store Manager is not present.
• Manage store associates through LIDS Training Programs, set goals for sales and tasks, and follow up.
• Administer the progressive discipline steps with verbal and written warnings in the Store Manager’s absence.
• Engage team members to create a fun, productive environment and align work with company objectives and store success.
• Contribute to a respectful, inclusive team environment and adhere to Lids Brand Standards.
• Schedule and staff the store, including calling in associates for unexpected peaks.
• Assist in recruiting and training store personnel on operations and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safekeeping of inventory, funds, and property.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
