Job summary

Goodwill of North Georgia is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Canton, GA store operations. You will hire, train, motivate and supervise staff, lead meetings, ensure customer and donor satisfaction, and maintain displays and merchandising presentations. You will also oversee cash handling and contribute to achieving budgeted financial performance.

Ongoing training is provided, with potential opportunities to transfer to other Goodwill stores as you advance your career.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience supervising 15+ employees in food services, manufacturing, production or retail; or 1 year supervisory with Goodwill training.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Retail, Finance, Mathematics, Accounting, or Economics plus 1 year supervisory experience in logistics, retail, warehouse, fast food, restaurants, B2B accounts, corporate/service industry or any other relevant industry.
• 4+ years of military service with supervisory experience in lieu of either of the above.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• PC proficiency and experience with MS Office; a driver's license and dependable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in hiring, training, motivating and supervising staff.
• Lead meetings, help the store meet customer and donor satisfaction standards, maintain displays and merchandising presentations.
• Ensure cash handling per policy and drive the store towards meeting or exceeding its budgeted financial performance.
• Ongoing training is provided and opportunities to transfer to other stores may arise.
