Columbia Sportswear Company is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Portland, ME to lead Sales Associates and Supervisors, drive store performance, and deliver memorable customer experiences. You will coach teams, manage operations, and support the Store Manager to meet profitability goals.

You will foster inclusion, teamwork, and a service-oriented culture while training staff on products, technologies, and selling skills to elevate consumer loyalty and store results.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in retail leadership.
• Experience in store operations and customer service.
• Ability to lead and train diverse staff.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to supervisors and associates on daily operations.
• Create engaging shopping experiences to expand our consumer base.
• Ensure product/tech knowledge to serve customers.
• Provide training and coaching on selling skills.
• Assist Store Manager with interviewing, hiring, coaching.
• Support team growth and development.
• Develop action plans to improve sales and efficiency.
• Create weekly schedules and manage labor costs.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and stockroom organization.
