Job summary

ALDI USA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the store manager in driving sales growth, controlling expenses, and delivering excellent customer service in a busy retail environment.

Reporting to the store manager, you will lead teams, train staff, schedule responsibly, and ensure compliance with ALDI policies while promoting a positive, collaborative work culture and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in a retail environment and prior management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the appropriate resolution of employee and customer concerns, aligning with the store manager, as needed.
• Leads and develops store personnel; communicates responsibilities and expectations to ensure results.
• Assists the store manager with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results and personnel development.
• Leads store tours during interview events and provides hiring recommendations to the store manager.
• Trains and develops store personnel to achieve their maximum potential using training materials.
• Ensures store personnel comply with customer service principles and demonstrates appropriate interactions with customers and co-workers.
