Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, deliver great customer service, and develop a high‑performing team. You will assist with merchandising, staffing, opening/closing, and loss prevention while ensuring safety and company standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in organizing merchandise and maintaining seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and related communications.
• Maintain promotional displays and store-front fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Ensure adherence to policies and safety guidelines by all associates.
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep bathrooms clean and restocked; ensure floors are swept/mopped and trash removed.
