Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, elevate customer service, and contribute to team development.

This role involves supervising associates, coordinating tasks, and ensuring store standards are met across merchandising, safety, and visual displays. You will assist with opening/closing procedures, process corporate directives, help organize stock, and maintain a safe, welcoming environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and frequent walking/standing.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in organizing merchandise and moving stock between areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays and ensure store standards.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Ensure adherence to policies, safety guidelines, and team training.
• Support Store Manager in supervising and developing store associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean and presentable, including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
