Job summary

Roses/Roses Express in Greenville, AL is seeking an Assistant Manager/Key Carrier to deliver excellent customer service and support the Store Manager in daily store operations. You will help supervise team members, protect store assets, and ensure adherence to policies and safety guidelines.

The role requires flexible full-time availability, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, walk, and stand for long periods. Experience in retail or management is preferred.

Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and written skills
• Ability to lift, bend and transport merchandise up to 50lbs; able to stand, walk, kneel, climb, push and pull as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hiring, training and development of store team members as delegated by the Store Manager.
• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Follow policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional, friendly environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards, including recovery.
• Direct supervisory responsibility for hourly team members when the Store Manager is away.
• Process all SSC Corporate directives.
• Assist with receipt/return of DSD merchandise.
• Help manage freight flow and productivity goals.
• Assist ordering and stocking merchandise needs.
• Maintain stockroom organization and sales floor readiness.
• Support Store Operations Weekly Bulletin directives.
