Job summary

Lids is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in New Jersey to lead daily store operations, drive sales, and deliver outstanding customer experiences. You will supervise staff, train teammates, and ensure adherence to policies while maintaining store appearance and profitability.

You will act as a manager on duty when the Store Manager is away, oversee scheduling, discipline, and performance, and support merchandising, inventory, and cash-handling tasks.

Qualifications

• Established ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally in a clear professional manner.
• Ability to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Act as Manager on duty for scheduling issues and customer complaints when Store Manager is not present.
• Manage store associates through training programs and goal setting, with regular follow up when the Store Manager is absent.
• Administer progressive discipline including verbal and written warnings when needed.
• Engage team members by creating a fun, productive environment and aligning work with company objectives.
• Schedule and staff the store, including calling in associates for peak periods.
• Recruit and train store personnel on proper operations and procedures.
• Encourage compliance with company policies and safeguard inventory, funds, and property.
• Lead, execute and support selling strategies to hit KPIs and deliver exceptional service.
• Resolve customer feedback and escalations to “make it right” for guests.
• Maintain visual guidelines, signage, and store cleanliness.
• Open and close the store following Operations procedures.
• Protect company assets and manage inventory including receiving and counts.
• Collaborate on layout, merchandising, and product presentation adjustments.
