You will work with the Store Manager to drive results, manage costs, and create a welcoming environment for customers while leading store associates on shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years progressively responsible retail experience.
• Demonstrated good math skills for cash handling, inventory, and pricing.
• Able to read, write, understand and apply instructions, procedures, recipes, and training materials.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills with customers, employees and vendors.
• Able to integrate and work effectively in a team environment.
• Computer literacy including POS, HR systems, and standard MS Office products.
• Able to work any shift and be on-call for emergencies; reliable attendance.
• Reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance.
• Age 18 or older due to age restricted product sales.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-of-store leadership during shifts and coach staff.
• Assist Store Manager with implementing company programs and achieving operational objectives.
• Delegate responsibilities to ensure smooth operations.
• Deliver coaching to improve employee performance on shift.
• Assist with new employee training and provide feedback to the manager.
• Maintain calm leadership during high volume or unusual events.
• Assist in executing marketing, fuel, and food strategies and promotions.
• Maintain pricing and inventory levels and monitor vendor performance.
• Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and laws; report concerns to the Store Manager.
• Prepare and deliver deposits and reconcile daily receipts.
