Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Kentucky LP is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will help with day-to-day functions, supervise associates, train staff, manage merchandise flow from delivery to floor, and ensure a clean, well-organized store. This role emphasizes customer service, safety, and loss prevention in a busy retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain storefront fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record-keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
