Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Kentucky LP in Hardinsburg, KY seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily operations, customer service, and team development. You’ll support opening/closing, supervise associates, and ensure store standards.

This role requires a high school diploma and preference for store-management experience in retail. You’ll lift up to 55 lbs, engage customers, process directives, and maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention tasks.
