Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Kentucky LP in Beattyville, KY is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. The role involves assisting with day-to-day activities, merchandising, payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention to maintain a well-run store.

You will help supervise Store Associates, ensure a safe and friendly environment for customers, and maintain clean, organized sales floors and stockrooms.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as described.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Assist in ordering merchandise and manage payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits
• Help supervise and develop Store Associates
