Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily activities, organize merchandise, and help train Store Associates in a fast-paced retail setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs. You will work to maintain store standards, protect assets, and ensure a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with questions in a positive, approachable manner.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives, maintain fixtures, and manage displays.
• Assist with payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect store assets, including cash, and enforce policies.
• Help store manager supervise, train, and develop store associates.
• Foster a safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
