Job summary

Chico's FAS, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Springfield, MO to support the Store Manager in driving a customer- and product-focused sales culture.

You will oversee sales operations, asset protection, and HR functions to maximize profitability while ensuring an exceptional customer experience across channels. You will analyze sales data, train the team on product knowledge, and manage scheduling, payroll, and store processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of retail management experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, verbal and written skills.
• Able to learn or adapt to company technology and systems.
• Proven track record in delivering strong customer service and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Analyze sales reports and KPIs to guide in-store strategies; align with Store Manager.
• Set clear expectations and hold team accountable for brand and behavior standards.
• Oversee payroll and supply budget management.
• Perform scheduling, audits, inventory, opening/closing duties, and payroll accuracy checks.
• Handle cash, price changes, and register transactions per policy; ensure compliance with laws and loss prevention policies.
• Lead training to ensure product knowledge fluency; support locate fulfillment and selling.
• Recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing team; coach performance and HR matters in partnership with Store Manager.
