Job summary

The North Face in Hanover, MD is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead, develop, and motivate a team of Brand Advocates while delivering a best‑in‑class customer experience aligned with our brand values. You will partner with the Store Manager to drive profitability through excellence in customer engagement, merchandising, and store operations, and you may assume full responsibility in the manager's absence.

2+ years retail leadership.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to drive results through store teams.
• Skilled in coaching, motivating, and building diverse teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to stand and perform physical tasks for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of Brand Advocates to deliver best-in-class customer experience that reflects our brand values.
• Partner with the Store Manager to drive profitability through excellence in customer engagement, merchandising, operations, and community connection.
• In the Store Manager’s absence, assume full responsibility for the store.
• Oversee opening and closing procedures, floor coverage, and task delegation.
• Support the Store Manager in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training.
