Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Kentucky LP is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run store operations, deliver excellent customer service, and develop the team. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, organize merchandise, perform opening and closing procedures, and help supervise store associates while ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong reading and interpretation of operational directives.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain store areas to company standards, including front displays and stockroom.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
