Job summary

Total Wine & More is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Baton Rouge, LA, to grow the brand by delivering exceptional service and creating a distinctive environment for adult beverages and more. You will support store operations, develop a sales-driven culture, and report to the Store Manager as Assistant Manager.

You will drive sales, recruit and train a capable team, manage payroll and inventory, and uphold compliance with alcohol regulations while delivering outstanding customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years of work experience, 2+ years in managerial or supervisory retail role.
• Experience leading, motivating, and developing a sales-focused team.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and deliver against key performance metrics (KPMs).
• Assist in recruiting, training, and leading store team, including development to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
• Support day-to-day operations, including payroll, inventory, merchandising and shrink.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by leading by example and fostering a welcoming store atmosphere.
• Help maintain vendor relationships to support store and inventory objectives.
• Ensure adherence to laws related to sale of alcohol and maintain a safe store environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
