Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Watertown, SD to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. You will lead the store team during shifts and when the Store Manager is absent, ensuring excellent service to retail and professional customers.

Responsibilities include staffing the sales counter, coaching team members, participating in hiring, processing orders, returns, and maintaining store security and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Sales Specialist Training required to manage customer interactions effectively.
• Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification mandatory for progression.
• Certified Parts Professional Certification and ASE Certification are preferred.
• Fluency in multiple languages, Spanish highly desired, is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in delivering excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels at the retail showroom and ensure team adherence to service programs.
• Assist in staffing the sales counter during busy hours and peak periods.
• Participate in hiring by scheduling interviews and selecting qualified candidates.
• Perform store opening/closing duties, handle deposits, and ensure security protocols are followed.
