Job summary

Family Dollar in Horn Lake, MS is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, boost customer service, and develop the store team. You will assist with merchandising, cashiering, scheduling, and loss prevention to meet company standards.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, staff supervision, and maintaining a clean, safe shopping environment while delivering friendly service to customers and supporting the Store Manager.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills required for daily store interactions.
• Experience with scheduling, payroll, and basic store operations preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions
• Assist in organizing merchandise from delivery to floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Open and close procedures, follow corporate directives and maintain displays
• Conduct payroll, scheduling, deposits and loss prevention tasks
• Supervise and train Store Associates, ensure a safe and respectful environment
• Maintain cleanliness and stock in all store areas
