Job summary

Family Dollar in Kiln, Mississippi is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities and help ensure the store operates smoothly.

The role involves supervising, training, and developing store associates, handling opening/closing procedures, merchandising, and enforcing company policies. A high school diploma and store-management experience preferred; strong communication and teamwork are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and written skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with questions or concerns.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Handle payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Maintain neat, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom.
• Support Store Manager in training and developing associates.
• Ensure safe, positive, and respectful environment.
