Job summary

Family Dollar in Wiggins, Mississippi is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, supervise associates, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions/concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash handling and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked store and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff compliance.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Ensure cleanliness and restocking of bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
