Job summary

Family Dollar in Biloxi, MS is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to supervise daily store operations, coach associates, and ensure excellent customer service. You will help organize inventory, assist with opening/closing duties, and uphold company policies while maintaining a safe, inviting shopping environment.

Ideal candidates have retail leadership experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage payroll and scheduling tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, grocery, or drugstore environments preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent or better.
• Store management experience in retail preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and stand long periods.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day activities.
• Provide excellent customer service and address questions.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery to floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Support payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom.
• Assist Store Manager in training and developing associates.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Protect assets and follow company policies.
