Job summary

Family Dollar in Lumberton, Mississippi is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with daily store operations, customer service and team development. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from truck to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays; ensure store cleanliness and safety.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, process damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash receipts.
• Provide training and development to Store Associates; supervise when needed.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment and professional interactions with customers and staff.
• Maintain neat, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
