Job summary

Family Dollar in Ashland, KY is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, organize merchandise, and help supervise and train Associates.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills and the ability to maintain a safe, engaging store environment. This is a part-time position based at our Ashland location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Retail/store management experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Strong communication and customer service skills required.
• Ability to lead a small team and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive and approachable manner.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and maintain promotional displays and fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and secure assets.
• Supervise, train, and develop store associates.
• Ensure a safe, friendly and professional environment for customers and staff.
