Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Cadiz, KY to support daily store operations and customer service. You will help with merchandising, scheduling, and staff development while maintaining a clean, welcoming store environment.

The role requires strong communication, problem solving, and the ability to work in a high-energy team setting. This is a part-time/ongoing assistant position with responsibilities across opening, closing, and compliance duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day activities.
• Provide positive, helpful customer service and address questions or concerns.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and store fixtures for impact.
• Assist in ordering, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling and loss prevention.
• Keep store and stockroom well-organized and clean to company standards.
• Protect store assets, including cash, and enforce safety policies.
• Support Store Manager in training and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
